Victoria Falls
One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, and the only one in Africa.
A curtain of water, 1 mile wide, plunging 300 feet into the gorge below is a genuinely unforgettable sight and one of the joys of the Falls is that the area has been left relatively untouched and you can wander cobbled pathways through the rainforest to the edge of the great chasm.
The village of Victoria Falls has over the past few years grown into a town and offers the visitor a selection of shops, restaurants and hotels. Various tours are available including the famous 'Flight of Angels' which takes you over the Falls by light aircraft or helicopter, white water rafting and a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River.
