Fly from the UK
Start your holiday with a daytime flight to Entebbe. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the Best Western Entebbe Hotel.

DAY 1
Start your holiday with a daytime flight to Entebbe. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the Best Western Entebbe Hotel.


DAY 2
Meet your group and transfer to the airport for your flight transfer to Kihihi where you will meet your guide and transfer to your lodge where you will spend the following two nights. Optional extra for a forest walk or cultural visit. Speak to our team to find more details and costs involved.


DAY 3
Transfer to the park headquarters after an early breakfast for a safety briefing, then join your guides as you hike into the dense rain forest in search of a Gorilla family. Once found, spend a quiet hour observing these gentle giants in a once in a lifetime experience. Enjoy a packed lunch in the forest before returning to your lodge in the afternoon, with the remainder of your day at leisure.

DAY 4
This morning, there is the opportunity to include a further gorilla trek, community visits or a forest walk (additional costs applicable). This afternoon, start your drive to the Queen Elizabeth National Park with a visit to a local village enroute (if time permits). Arrive at your lodge in the park where you will spend the following two nights.


DAY 5
Spend the day on safari in the park, from enormous craters, forests and rolling hills to wetlands, lakes and endless plains, the landscapes in the park are breathtaking. End the day with sundowners in the park.

DAY 6
Leave the lodge and game drive through the park as you head to the ‘northern area’. Enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a 32-kilometre waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George, where hippos, buffalo, crocodiles and elephants gather along the banks. Arrive at your lodge where you will spend the following 2 nights.


DAY 7
Spend the day on safari in this area of the park. Alternatively, a chimp trek at Kyambura can be pre-booked (additional cost applicable).

Day 8
After a morning game drive in the park, travel to Kibale, where 13 different primate species reside. The drive is quite long but beautifully scenic through the Albertine Rift Valley. A lunch stop will be made en route before you arrive at your lodge for a two night stay.


Day 9
Head to the park offices to register for your chimpanzee trek. Treks typically last around three hours, with many other monkey species spotted along the way, Once the chimps are located, you will spend a wonderful hour with them in their natural habitat. The rest of the day is spent exploring the Bigodi Swamps with your guide.
Day 10
Return to Entebbe by road where your tour will end with a drop off at the airport. A day room can be arranged before your transfer to the airport to catch your onward flights back to the UK.
