DAY 2
Arrive in Entebbe
Transfer on arrival to your hotel for the rest of your afternoon at leisure.
DAYS 3-5
Travel to Murchison Falls
Meet your private driver guide and leave Entebbe for your journey to Murchison Falls. En route visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for guided walks in search of rhinos. After lunch at a local restaurant continue your journey to Murchison Falls arriving to your lodge late afternoon. The next two days will be spent game viewing by game drives in the park. See the falls on a ‘sundowner’ boat trip to the bottom of the falls where you can see the thunderous Nile waters crashing over the falls. A further boat trip will take you game viewing along the banks of the river.
DAYS 6-7
Chimp Trekking in Kibale Forest Reserve
A full day drive through the breathtaking landscape of the western Rift Valley, passing through traditional homesteads and villages. Arrive at your lodge which has stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains and where you will spend the following two nights. The next day spend the morning trekking through the forest in search of chimpanzees.
DAYS 8-9
Exploring the Queen Elizabeth National Park
There is the opportunity for another chimp trek this morning (extra fees apply) before leaving the area and driving to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive at your lodge early afternoon and depart on an afternoon game drive. The following day will be spent in the park on safari and exploring the park’s Kazinga Channel to include a boat trip.
DAYS 10-11
Gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve
After breakfast travel across the southern Ishasha sector of the park and onwards to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve arriving at your lodge where you will spend the following two nights. Afternoon at leisure to explore the lodge surrounds and to take in the beautiful surrounding forests. The next day will take you on a guided trek through the forests to see the incredible mountain gorillas. Treks can vary in length, before finding your family group where you will spend an hour observing the gorillas in what will be one of the most memorable wildlife encounters in Africa.
DAY 12
Start your journey home
Transfer to the local airstrip for your morning flight to Entebbe arriving in time to connect with your onward flight to London.
