Overview
Serengeti Pioneer Camp takes us back to the 1930s when an African safari was a truly pioneering experience. The camp’s style, with tented rooms and flowing white drapes, is reminiscent of this era and is designed to leave no permanent mark on the landscape.
Rooms
Pioneer Camp has 12 spacious tented rooms, each with en-suite facilities and solar-heated showers. The tents are classically designed to evoke a by-gone era.
Facilities
The camp’s main area is set on a rocky hill – there are stunning views across the plains from the lounge bar. Meals are served in the dining tent.

"We had an amazing, awesome trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Everything ran smoothly and we managed to see the Big 5 plus lots of lions, tree lions cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, elephants galore etc. Even the wildebeest. The accommodation was great everywhere. We had the most wonderful time and despite the cost, the air balloon flight was so worth it. Such an experience, none of us will ever forget."
