Day by day
DAY 2
Arrive in Arusha
Transfer on arrival to your lodge on the outskirts of Arusha for a one night stay. Advise your African Pride consultant prior to travel if would like to explore the coffee plantation on a journey from bean to cup, or just soak up the views from the tranquil gardens.
DAY 3
The Trees of Tarangire
Your driver/guide will collect you in a 4x4 Landcruiser to begin your private safari adventures. Drive to Tarangire where you will arrive at your hotel in time for lunch. Journey time approx. 2.5 hours. Afternoon game drive in the park.
DAY 4
Magical Lake Manyara
Morning drive across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. Journey time approx. 2 hours. Afternoon enjoy a game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park.
DAYS 5-6
Spectacular Serengeti Safari
Depart Lake Manyara for a morning drive to the Serengeti, with magnificent scenery and wildlife along the way. Arrive in time for lunch at the camp which will be your home for the next two nights in the heart of the central Serengeti. Enjoy game drives across the plains and amongst the rocky kopjes of Tanzania’s most famous park with its seemingly endless volume of animals. Journey time approx. 4 ½ hours.
DAY 7
Head East to Karatu
Leave the Serengeti and head back towards Arusha with a stop in Karatu. Journey time approx. 3 hrs. Arrive at your hotel in time for lunch and the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.
DAY 8
The Wonderous Crater
After breakfast, depart for a full day exploring the Ngorongoro Crater – often described as the eighth wonder of the world. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to around 25,000 animals and thousands of birds, and it truly one of the most spectacular wildlife destinations on the continent. Enjoy a picnic lunch during your day before returning to your lodge for the night.
DAY 9-13
Exotic Zanzibar
After breakfast drive back to Arusha – journey time approx. 2 hours – where your tour ends. Wave goodbye to your guide and board a flight to the Spice Island of Zanzibar. Transfer on arrival to your chosen beach hotel for five nights relaxation and rejuvenation. Ask your African Pride consultant about the range of day trips and excursions possible – from exploring the historic trading centre of Stone Town to meeting rare Red Colobus monkeys in the Jozani Forest.
