Overview
 

Babylonstoren is one of the most exciting destinations in the Cape Winelands. A collection of Cape Dutch-style cottages sit among the vineyards, orchards and olive groves of this working wine and olive farm. At the centre is an impressive fruit and vegetable garden, ensuring the freshest of produce for the creative cuisine. 

Rooms

Suites and cottages, all built in the white-washed, Cape Dutch style, are spread throughout the estate and feature contemporary décor, en-suite facilities, air-conditioning, satellite TV, tea and coffee facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi. 

One-bedroom suites and cottages are ideal for couples and the two bedroom cottages work well for families. They are located close to the heart of the farm and the gardens. The Cottages are larger and have a kitchen area housed in a contemporary glass cube. 

Further from the main buildings, the one and two-bedroom Fynbos Cottages are next to the vineyards and orchards, on the other side of the dam. 
 

Two family houses sleep up to 10 guests and are available for exclusive use.

Facilities
 

Babylonstoren’s grounds are the star attraction. There are guided tours of the extensive gardens and the farm, as well as walking and running trails. Guests are invited to join the gardeners for the morning harvest, bake bread with the bakers and taste the estate’s wines and home-grown olive oil. There are indoor and outdoor pools, a garden spa with hammam, sauna, and salt room, a fitness centre and a dam for fishing and canoeing. 
 

The flagship Babel restaurant offers a range of contemporary cuisine based on seasonal produce from the farm, while the Greenhouse serves lighter meals and drinks. The Italian-inspired and Carnivore-themed evenings at the Old Bakery are sociable affairs.
