Owner managed and run, Jamala Madikwe is renowned for its attention to detail, award-winning fine food, spacious accommodation and personal service. Right in front of the lodge, a waterhole attracts a steady stream of wildlife.
Rooms
Five individual, air-conditioned villas offer the ultimate in privacy and include a comfortable lounge, a dining area, dressing room and en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath and shower. Each has a private deck offering views of the nearby waterhole and open savannah. On the deck, there's a plunge pool, a sala and a private outdoor shower.
Facilities
There is a strong focus on the gourmet dining experience at Jamala. Chef Nico has won multiple awards and published his own cookbook. His meals are served in exquisite style at the Star Deck or the Boma. There is a spa offering a range of treatments, a small gym and a lap pool overlooking the bush. The twice-daily game drives head out at sunrise and sunset, or for those preferring a steadier pace, the watchtower affords the best ‘Sofa Safari’ experience with an uninterrupted view over the waterhole. Wi-Fi is available in the lounge and library areas.
