DAY 1
Start your holiday with a day time flight to Nairobi. Transfer to Nairobi Tented Camp for a one night stay. Situated in the quiet woodlands of Karen, the tents offer a tranquil escape from the bustling city centre. If you would like to spend more time acclimatising and enjoying activities such as a visit to the Elephant Orphanage or Giraffe Centre then please ask your African Pride consultant about extending your stay in Nairobi.
DAYS 2-3
After an early breakfast fly south by light aircraft to the Amboseli region. Spend two nights at your camp in the 15,000 acre Selenkay Conservancy. Enjoy game drives in search of big cats, elephants and plains game, plus lesser spotted animals such as long-necked gerenuk gazelle and the African wildcat in both Amboseli National Park and the private conservancy. Night drives are also possible in Selenkay, whilst sundowners with a view across to Kilimanjaro provide perfect ends to the exhilarating days.
DAYS 4-5
An early start sees you fly by light aircraft via Nairobi to the heart of Laikipia. Transfer to your camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy at the foothills of Mount Kenya. Ol Pejeta is famous for its rhino conservation programme and offers some of the best opportunities anywhere in Africa to see these magnificent creatures. Spend two nights at your camp, with game drives and walking safaris included. Optional activities (at a supplement) include lion tracking and the possibility to visit the Endangered Species Boma which houses the world's last two remaining northern white rhino.
DAYS 6-7
After an early morning game drive, fly by light aircraft to Meru National Park for a two night stay at Rhino Rover Camp. Home to a wide variety of animals and over 400 bird species, this beautiful park is best known for being the home of Elsa the lioness made famous in Born Free. Enjoy game drives in the park, which thanks to its plentiful water sources frequently makes for exciting predator and prey interactions. Rhino River Camp also offers a relaxing pool, massage facilities and the chance to fish for those wanting a break from game viewing. Please note additional costs apply for extra activities.
DAYS 8-9
Enjoy a final game drive in Meru before you fly to the Masai Mara – for many the highlight of a Kenyan adventure. Depending on the time of year, this may be one light aircraft flight or operate via Nairobi. On arrival, transfer to your camp for a two night stay. Porini Mara Camp is situated in the pristine Ol Kinyei Conservancy, a Maasai community owned wilderness bordering the Mara Reserve. Enjoy day and night game drives in the conservancy, whilst in the peak season a one day permit for the Masai Mara is included where you may be lucky enough to witness the Great Migration. With the Mara ecosystem consistently delivering a great game experience, this will always be an unforgettable end to a splendid adventure.
DAY 10
Enjoy a final morning game drive in the conservancy before your light aircraft flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson airport. You will be transferred across the city to the international airport where you will board your overnight flight back to the UK,
