Overview
Kaya Mawa is a boutique lodge on the white sandy beaches of Likoma Island, in the heart of Lake Malawi. Built by local craftsmen, the lodge combines lakeside living with a strong focus on sustainability, community and renewable energy.
Rooms
Kaya Mawa has a collection of individually designed rooms and houses, each with its own character and views of the lake or beach. Many feature private decks, while selected rooms have private plunge or infinity pools. Family accommodation is also available, including two-bedroom houses.
Facilities
Facilities include a restaurant, bar, swimming pool and spa, with complimentary Wi-Fi and room service available. There is also an activity desk and a range of private outdoor spaces attached to the accommodation.

"We had an amazing, awesome trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Everything ran smoothly and we managed to see the Big 5 plus lots of lions, tree lions cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, elephants galore etc. Even the wildebeest. The accommodation was great everywhere. We had the most wonderful time and despite the cost, the air balloon flight was so worth it. Such an experience, none of us will ever forget."
