Overview
Huntingdon House is a historic guest house on Satemwa Tea Estate in the Thyolo district of southern Malawi. Built in the 1930s as the home of Maclean Kay, founder of Satemwa Tea Estates, the house is surrounded by gardens and tea plantations, with views towards Mount Mulanje and the Lower Shire Valley.
Rooms
Huntingdon House has five individually decorated suites, each reflecting a different part of the property's history. All have en-suite bathrooms with a claw-foot bath and separate shower, while the majority have king-size beds with cotton linen. The rooms are named Mother's Room, Father's Room, The Nursery, Planters' Suite and The Chapel.
Facilities
The house has landscaped gardens, patios and terraces, with meals served in the dining room, garden and on the porch. Wi-Fi is available, and guests can relax in the gardens with tea produced on the estate.

"We had an amazing, awesome trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Everything ran smoothly and we managed to see the Big 5 plus lots of lions, tree lions cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, elephants galore etc. Even the wildebeest. The accommodation was great everywhere. We had the most wonderful time and despite the cost, the air balloon flight was so worth it. Such an experience, none of us will ever forget."
