The Kavango-Zambezi region is a vast conservation area located in Southern Africa, spanning Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Officially known as the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA), it is centred around the Kavango and Zambezi rivers, which shape the region’s ecology and culture.

It is one of the largest transboundary conservation areas in the world, covering nearly 520,000 km².
Kavango-Zambezi is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife including elephants, lions, cheetah, hippo and hundreds of bird species.
