A self-confessed “bit of a wuss when it comes to creepy-crawlies”, Karen has, non-the-less managed to last 30 years in the travel industry, 14 of which have been specialising in Africa. She fell in love with Africa on her first trip to Durban 20 years ago and still loves it now. She’s been to South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya, Tanzania, Mauritius, Zimbabwe, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. One very memorable trip was on the Train de Luxe (not named for its high standards!) which broke down and forced her to sit in the middle of Hwange National Park on the edge of the track for a VERY long time. She’s most looking forward to taking her kids to Africa at some point and testing all of the child friendly hotels and lodges.
Loves: Cape Winelands. Where next?: Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania.« Return to team members
