Cape Town - City Bowl

Bordered by Table Bay, Signal Hill, Lion's Head, Devil's Peak and Table Mountain, the City Bowl is the amphitheatre-shaped heart of Cape Town.

The city bowl holds some of the most interesting and historically significant neighbourhoods and the likes of the Bo Kaap, Oranjezicht, Tamboerskloof and Gardens provide hours of easy meanderings, restaurants and historical sights.

Other than soak up the local vibe, there’s plenty to do in this part of town. Taking the obligatory ride up the cable car to Table Mountain’s top is well worth the effort, although waiting for a clear day with no sign of the 'tablecloth' is the best option.  Other worthwhile visits include the District Six Museum, Company Gardens and the always cutting-edge Long Street and Kloof Street with their trendy restaurants & bars and boutique shopping.
