Only 15-20 minutes drive from the centre of Cape Town, yet feeling a world away.

Park-like gardens and vineyards surrounding the houses and mansions will make you forget that you are actually in the middle of a big city and there are many excellent restaurants in the area so you don't have to stray too far: we can particularly recommend La Colombe at Constantia Uitsig and the highly acclaimed Buitenverwachting restaurant in the same vicinity.

The world famous Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens is located here and is a 'must see': here are some 9,000 of the country's indigenous flowering plant species. The gardens are open from dawn to dusk and there is another excellent restaurant within the grounds.
