'Kenya by Air' - Tailor Made Fly-In

Highlights *Amboseli *Laikipia * Meru * Masai Mara

DAY 1 – Arrive Nairobi. Your safari experience starts straight away as you head into Nairobi National Park for an overnight stay in Nairobi Tented Camp. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a game drive before dinner.

DAYS 2-3 – A short transfer to the airport and a light aircraft flight to Amboseli. The park is famed for its elephants and the incredible views of Kilimanjaro. You’ll spend a morning in the park, with picnic lunch, as well as scenic sundowners and night drives. There will also be the opportunity to walk to a nearby Maasai village. Stay for 2 nights at Porini Amboseli Camp in the Selenkay Conservancy.

DAYS 4-5 – Fly via Nairobi to Nanyuki for 2 nights in Laikipia. Your base here is Porini Rhino Camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Head out on game drives or walks with the local guides, the conservancy is particularly known for its black rhinos. For an additional charge, you can also visit the Endangered Species Boma, which houses the last 2 remaining northern white rhinos, or go lion tracking.

DAYS 6-7 – After your morning game drive, fly on to Meru National park for 2 nights at Porini River Camp. Meru is a scenic park, with mountains, grasslands, rivers and streams, a diverse habitat which is home to a variety of wildlife. Explore on game drives and walks, and cool off in between in the camp’s pool.

DAYS 8-9 – Fly down to the Masai Mara for a final few nights on safari. Stay at Porini Mara camp in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy. Activities here include game drives and sundowners in the conservancy and a full day in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Depending on the time of year you may see the huge herds of migrating wildebeest and zebra that come with the rains, however the Mara has abundant resident game year round, with healthy elephant, cheetah and lion populations.

DAY 10 – Fly back to Nairobi. Why not extend your holiday with a stay by the beach, either in Kenya or Zanzibar?

This is a sample itinerary which can be personalised for your requirements – we will happily make recommendations, based on your preferences and our personal experiences. We recommend flying between reserves in Kenya both to save time as distances are huge and because the roads can be bumpy.

Why not finish the tour with a few days on the beach? -  stay on the Kenyan Coast or to Zanzibar
