A Taste of KwaZulu-Natal - Small Group Tour

A 7-day escorted tour from Durban showcasing some of the highlights of KwaZulu-Natal, taking in the Drakensberg Mountains, the Battlefields and safari. The tour operates on set departure dates throughout the year and is escorted by a driver/guide throughout.

Tour departs: Tuesdays

Group size: 2-16

DAYS 1-2

Depart Durban and travel via Pietermaritzburg to Howick, the site where Nelson Mandela was captured. Continue up into the Drakensberg Mountains for a 2 night stay. Visit the caves at Giants Castle for a short tour and enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

DAYS 3-4

First stop, Spionkop for a retelling of the Anglo-Boer battle then the Siege Museum in Ladysmith and onto Rorkes Drift for a 2 night stay. A highlight of the tour is the day spent reliving the Anglo-Zulu battles of Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift.

DAYS 5-6

The journey continues to Hluhluwe where your taste of ‘KZN’ continues with an African safari experience. Enjoy game drives on an open safari vehicle.

DAY 7 – One final game drive then a stop at St Lucia (optional boat trip at extra cost) before arriving back at Durban where the tour ends.

You will need to arrive in Durban at least a day before the tour starts, so why not enjoy a few nights by the sea in Umhlanga?
