Namibia Adventure Safari - Small Group Tour
Using an eclectic mix of hotels, lodges and Meru style safari tents, this adventure tour takes you to some of Namibia’s iconic sights in a 4x4 vehicle. The adventure operates with 2-8 guests.
Evening flight from Heathrow airport.
Continue via Johannesburg to Windhoek and transfer to your hotel. 1 night at Thule Hotel, or similar (with breakfast).
Visit the Cheetah Conservation Fund Centre, a non-profit organisation dedicated to conserving these vulnerable cats. Stay for lunch and spend time with the centre's staff before continuing north for a night at Frans Indongo Lodge, or similar (half board).
Enter the renowned Etosha National Park, one of the most important reserves in Africa and see the vast salt pans, waterholes and usually abundant game. Explore the park over the following 2 days. 3 nights in rest camps within the park (full board).
Visit a local Himba village and meet the semi-nomadic tribespeople en route to Damaraland and your exclusive mobile camp where the next 2 nights are spent under canvas (full board). Support staff erect the camp and provide all the food and drink. Accommodation is in tents with comfortable beds and en suite facilities. The following day, visit Twyfelfontein, a heritage site with over 2000 rock carvings and the Organ Pipes, a peculiar geological feature.
Travel along the Skeleton Coast and visit the seal colony at Cape Cross before reaching Swakopmund, a quaint coastal resort. Time at leisure to explore or enjoy the activities available locally (at extra charges) – a morning boat cruise is included. 2 nights at Hansa Hotel, or similar (with breakfast).
The journey continues via the Kuiseb River to your next mobile camp on the edge of the Namib Desert for another 2 nights under canvas (full board).
An early start as you head to the dunes of Sossusvlei in the oldest desert in the world. Enjoy the changing colours of the dunes as you walk among them. There's a short hike through the Sesriem Canyon en route back to camp.
Drive back to Windhoek, arriving around midday. Spend the afternoon at leisure and your final night at Thule Hotel or similar (with breakfast).
Overnight flight home via Johannesburg.
Arrive back in the UK.
