Namibia By Air - Flying Safari

Flying around Namibia not only saves time but it also affords some breath-taking views over the most spectacular landscapes.

Day 1

Overnight flight via Johannesburg to Windhoek.

Days 2-3

On arrival in Windhoek, transfer to your light aircraft for the scenic flight to Sossusvlei, home to some of the world's highest sand dunes. Enjoy a guided tour of the dunes and nature drives through the reserve. 2 nights at Little Kulala (full board).

Day 4 

You will have a spectacular aerial view of the dunes and the Atlantic coastline as you fly up to the coastal town of Swakopmund - it's from the air that you get a true sense of the vast expanse of dunes. On land, participate in a Living Desert Tour. 1 night at Strand Hotel, or similar (with breakfast)

Day 5

Enjoy a morning at leisure in Swakopmund before flying up to Damaraland. In the afternoon, take a tour to Twyfelfontein, a famed site of ancient rock art. 2 nights at Camp Kipwe, or similar (full board).

Day 6

This morning head out of a drive in search of the desert elephants. 

Days 7-8 

Board the plane again for a short flight to Etosha and its neighbouring Ongana private game reserve. Enjoy time on safari, both within Etosha National Park and the private reserve. 2 nights at Ongava Lodge, or similar (full board).

Day 9 

Fly on to Okonjima Nature Reserve, home to the AfriCat Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and protection of Namibian wild cats, in particular leopard and cheetah. Enjoy the opportunity to admire and photograph these predators. 1 night at Okonjima Bush Camp (full board).

Day 10

Fly to Windhoek for the overnight flight home.

Day 11

Arrive back in the UK.
