Namibia South to North - Small Group Tour

​This spectacular escorted itinerary encompasses the best of Namibia from the Fish River Canyon in the south to the Etosha National Park in the north with the wonders of the Sossusvlei sand dunes in between and much more. Accommodation is in a range of guest houses and lodges with an authentic Namibian flavour.

Day 1

Overnight flight via Johannesburg to Windhoek. 

Day 2

Transfer on arrival to the Elegant Guest House for a night (with breakfast).

Day 3 

Meet with your driver/guide and head south of Windhoek to the red dunes onf the Kalahari Desert and Bagatelle Kalahari Game Lodge for a night (half board).

Days 4-5 

Continue south through desert-dominated landscapes to the world’s second largest canyon, Fish River. Spend 2 nights at Canyon Lodge (half board) and take a spectacular tour to Fish River Canyon.

Days 6-7

Visit the small historic town of Aus en route to the charming old-world town of Lüderitz for a 2 night stay at The Nest (with breakfast). The tour includes a visit to Kolmansdop, an abandoned mining town that gives a fascinating insight into the area's great diamond boom.

Day 8 

Experience a taste of life as a Namibian farmer with an overnight stay at Farm Namtib (half board).

Day 9

Visit the Duwisib Castle and travel on through spectacular Namib scenery to Sossusvlei for 2 nights at Desert Homestead (half board).

Day 10

Spectacular scenes await, with a visit to the Sossusvlei pan, surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes in the world, and the Sesriem Canyon.

Days 11-12 

Continue north via the Kuiseb Canyon to Swakopmund, a quaint seaside town. Stay 2 nights at Central Guesthouse (with breakfast). A dolphin cruise on the Walvis Bay lagoon is included, and there is time at leisure to explore.

Days 13-14

Further up the coast, there's a visit to the seal colony at Cape Cross then to a shipwreck in the southern Skeleton Coast Park before heading into the Damaraland highlands for a 2 night stay at Grootberg Lodge (half board). Head out with the experienced team on a rhino tracking excursion.

Day 15

Travel via the Grootberg Pass to Etosha National Park. 1 night at Okaukuejo Rest Camp (half board).

Days 16-17

Two days on safari in Etosha National Park, with game drives and visits to waterholes where a large diversity of animal species can be seen. Two nights at Mushara Bush Camp (half board).

Day 18 

The route continues south to the AfriCat Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and protection of Namibian wild cats, in particular leopard and cheetah. 1 night at Okonjima Plains Camp (half board).

Day 19

To Windhoek for the overnight flight back via Johannesburg.

Day 20

Arrive back in the UK.
