A very comprehensive tour that takes you from the spectacular Fish River Canyon in the south to Etosha National Park in the far north with visits en route to Sossusvlei, Swakopmund and the Skeleton Coast. Transport by air-conditioned Minibus or Mercedes Sprinter with a maximum of 13 passengers.

Day 1 Evening flight from Heathrow.
Day 2
Morning arrival at Johannesburg for connecting flight to Windhoek. Transfer to the Windhoek Hotel & Country Club. (B)
Day 3
Depart from your hotel and travel south into the Kalahari desert driving through red dunes. In the afternoon arrive at the Kalahari Anib Lodge for overnight. (B)
Day 4
Continue south through the Quiver Tree Forest near Keetmanshoop and onto the Fish River Canyon. Overnight at the Cañon Village. (B)
Day 5
A morning guided tour of the canyon from the rim before travelling through the prohibited diamond area to Luderitz. Stay at the Hotel Zum Sperrgebiet. (B)
Day 6
Drive to the famous ghost town of Kolmanskop and then inland to Helmeringhausen. Visit Duwisib Castle and continue to Hammerstein Lodge. (B)
Day 7
An early start to view the impressive sand dunes of Sossusvlei. Overnight at Namib Desert Lodge. (B)
Day 8
Drive to the coastal town of Swakopmund via the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons. Spend 2 nights at the Strand Hotel. (B)Day
9 Day
For various optional excursions including a visit to Walvis Bay, home to a variety of bird species or a dolphin cruise or dune boarding and quad biking.
Day 10
Along the coast via Henties Bay to the Cape Cross Seal Reserve. Then inland, past the Brandberg Mountains into Damaraland. Overnight at I’Gowati Lodge. (B)
Day 11
In the morning visit various geological sites including the ‘organ pipes’ and petrified forest. In the afternoon drive to the borders of Etosha National Park and stay at Etosha Garten Hotel. (B)
Day 12
Enter Etosha National Park and spend the day game viewing. Accommodation at an Etosha Rest Camp. (B)Day
13 Day
Spent game viewing in Etosha. Overnight at Mokuti Lodge. (B)
Day 14
Travel via Tsumeb and Lake Otjikoto to Windhoek, arriving late afternoon. Overnight at the Windhoek Hotel & Country Club. (B)Day 15 Afternoon flight to Johannesburg to connect with the evening flight to London.
Day 16
Arrive Heathrow early morning.

SAMPLE ACCOMMODATION

WINDHOEK HOTEL &COUNTRY CLUB
The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from the city centre. It has 152 well appointed bedrooms and suites, spacious public rooms, an excellent restaurant, a casino and extensive gardens with a swimming pool and water features. Alongside is a championship golf course.

STRAND HOTEL
The hotel has a prime location on the beach front at Swakopmund and is just minutes away from the town centre. Enjoy the verandah cafes and restaurants serving excellent and varied cuisine. Each of the 45 en suite bedrooms has a hair dryer, TV with a variety of channels and tea/coffee making facilities.

MOKUTI LODGE
The lodge is just outside the eastern boundary of Etosha National Park and has 106 thatched air-conditioned chalets. There is a swimming pool, floodlit tennis court, open-air chess and a curios hop. Dinner options  range from à la carte dining to a buffet or barbeque in the boma.

Departures:
Various Thursdays throughout the year with South African Airways, Virgin Atlantic or British Airways via Johannesburg.
