The Best Of Namibia

Day 1 Mid morning flight from Windhoek to Sossusvlei for 2 nights at Wilderness Sossusvlei Camp (about 1hr). Afternoon local sightseeing. (FP)
Day 2
Early morning departure from the lodge to visit the massive sand dunes of Sossusvlei and the stunning Sesriem Canyon. Return to the lodge for lunch and after relaxing in the afternoon heat undertake a sundowner nature drive. Optional hot air ballooning can be arranged at an extra cost.
Day 3
Fly over the dunes to Swakopmund (about 2hrs). A visit is made by road to Walvis Bay for a boat trip to see the seals, dolphins and sometimes penguins and whales. After lunch fly along the Skeleton Coast and then inland up the Huab River to Damaraland Camp for 2 nights (about 2hrs). (FP)
Day 4
In the morning travel by open safari vehicle through the rugged bush and along dry river beds in search of the desert elephant and the rare rhino. Afternoon at leisure for relaxation by the swimming pool or, perhaps, enjoy a walking trail.
Day 5
Short flight north east to Ongava Game Reserve for a stay of 2 nights at Ongava Tented Camp. The reserve borders the Etosha National Park and in the afternoon there will be a game viewing drive by open safari vehicle.
Day 6
The day is spent game viewing in Etosha and within Ongava Game Reserve.
Day 7
Early morning game viewing before the return flight to Windhoek Airport (about 1.5hrs) where the safari will end.



WILDERNESSS OSSUSVLEI CAMPWILDERNESSS OSSUSVLEI CAMP
The camp is in a magnificent, isolated position overlooking the Namib Desert. Each of the 9 spacious and beautifully appointed chalets has a plunge pool. Elevated walkways connect the chalets with the main lodge which houses the bar, dining and lounge area. There is also a star-gazing platform. Visits are made to the Sossusvlei dunes and Sesriem Canyon.

DAMARALAND CAMP
This camp has 8 large comfortable walk-in style tents each with rustic, but functional, shower and toilet. In the main lodge is the lounge, dining and bararea and from the terrace are wonderful views towards the Brandberg Mountains. Hidden away in the rocks is a small swimming pool. Activities include nature drives and walks, with game viewing drives in search of the desert elephant and black rhino by open safari vehicle.

ONGAVATENTED CAMP
Bordering the Etosha National Park is Ongava Game Reserve, a private game concession area. This comfortable camp has 6 walk-in safari tents with en suite facilities. The dining and bar area is tucked under thatch next to the swimming pool. Adjacent is Ongava Lodge with 10 rock and thatch chalets and the intimate Little Ongava with just 3 chalets.
