Day 1 Evening flight from
Heathrow to Nairobi.
Day 2 Arrive Nairobi in the
morning and travel by road through the Great Rift Valley to Loldia
House for a stay of 3 nights. (FP)
Day 3 Full day at Lake Nakuru
National Park, famous for its flamingos, water birds, rhino and
leopard.
Day 4 Day at leisure.
Day 5 Afternoon flight to Masai
Mara Game Reserve. 3 nights at Little Governors’
Camp. (FP)
Day 6 3 game viewing drives,
dawn, late
morning and mid afternoon.
Day 7 Full day of game viewing.
Optional excursions to Mfangano Island or hot air balloon flight
over Masai Mara (charges apply).
Day 8 Game viewing at dawn and
late morning. Afternoon flight to Nairobi. Transfer into city centre
for dinner (meal at own expense).
Evening flight to London.
Day 9 Arrive Heathrow early
morning.

LOLDIA HOUSE

Set in 8,500 acres on one of Kenya’s oldest farms, the house nestles
under acacia trees on the northern shores of Lake Naivasha and has 9
bedrooms en suite. During your stay you will have the opportunity to
take a boat trip on the lake, experience a guided bird and game walk
around the estate, explore the farm on horseback and visit nearby
Lake Nakuru
LITTLE GOVERNORS’ CAMP
To get to this intimate camp you first have to cross the Mara River
by boat and then walk through the forest. The 17 roomy tents, which
are set in a tranquil and secluded spot, have en suite facilities
and private verandah. They are set around a waterhole that teems
with animals and birdlife. It is also possible (at an extra cost) to
take an exciting hot air balloon safari over the Mara plains.
MFANGANO ISLAND RESORT
From the Mara you can fly to this resort on Lake Victoria. The
island has an ancient history and its fishing villages preserve a
colourful way of life. The camp is set in beautiful gardens, is an
oasis of tranquillity and has 6 rondavels with en suite facilities. There is an attractive swimming pool, open sitting room with bar and
dining area with views over the lake.
Over the years, Governors’ Camps have received many awards and
recently one of their camps in the Mara was used by the BBC Natural
History Unit for the filming of ‘Big Cat Diary’. They have four
other camps in the Mara – Governors’ Camp ,Il Moran Camp, Bush Camp
and a private camp (maximum of 16 guests with minimum stay of 3
nights).
