We have developed this safari specifically for the wildlife enthusiast. It combines walking trails and safari drives in the world famous South Luangwa National Park plus a visit to the Lower Zambezi, which will give you the opportunity of water based activities as well as general game viewing.

SOUTH LUANGWA & LOWER ZAMBEZI

Day 1 Evening flight from Heathrow to Lusaka.
Day 2
Arrive Lusaka early morning for connecting flight to Mfuwe. Spend 6 nights at the camps of the Bushcamp Company in the South Luangwa National Park with 2 nights at 3 different camps. (FP+)
Days 3-7
On safari with game viewing drives by open vehicle and walking trails. Transfers between camps by vehicle or on foot.
Day 8
Transfer by light aircraft (via Lusaka) to the Lower Zambezi National Park. Stay at Chiawa Camp for 2 nights. (FP+)
Day 9
Game viewing by open vehicle, walking trail and boat.
Day 10 Transfer to Old Mondoro for 2 nights. (FP+)
Day 11
Day spent game viewing.
Day 12
Transfer by light aircraft to Lusaka. Overnight at Chaminuka, a delightful lodge about 30 minutes from the city centre. (DBB)
Day 13
Early morning transfer to Lusaka Airport for the flight to London. Arrive Heathrow Airport in the early evening.

Departures: Monday with British Airways (June to October only) Luggage: 15kg per person in soft bags


CHIAWA CAMPCHIAWA CAMP
The family owned camp offers a wide range of land and water based activities led by some of Africa’s top guides. There are 8 en suite tents, each set on its own elevated wooden plat-form, overlooking the river. The lounge and bar area has an observation platform built into the roof and the dining area overlooks the river. Game drives, walks, boating and fishing.
The camp is open from May to mid November


OLD MONDOROOLD MONDORO
The camp is set on a beautiful site overlooking a maze of hippo-inhabited islands and channels. The bush chalets, with views over the river, have en suite facilities with flush toilets and canvas bucket showers. The main tent serves as a lounge and dining area and the bush kitchen provides fine meals including fresh baked bread daily. The camp is open from June to October.


THE BUSHCAMP COMPANYTHE BUSHCAMP COMPANY
The five intimate and beautifully furnished camps offer a remote bush experience whilst still providing the essential comforts in life. Guests may choose to either experience each camp, walking through the park by day and staying in a new location each night, or relaxing at the bush camp of your choice. Kuyenda ,on the banks of the Manzi River and Chamilandu, with its tree houses, each have 3 THE BUSHCAMP COMPANYrooms. Chindeni, on the edge of a permanent lagoon, Bilimung we, overlooking a small plain and Kapamba Bushcamp, on the river bank and offering spectacular walking trails. Each have 4 rooms. All rooms have en suite facilities. Game viewing drives and walks are escorted by experienced guides.
